Captain Jaime Gonzalez, Jr.

Jaime is a fully licensed charter and tournament captain with over 16 years of experience fishing the waters surrounding Cabo San Lucas. Jaime is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Jaime is a 3rd Generation resident fisherman born and raised in Cabo San Lucas. He was taught to fish by his father Jaime Gonzalez Sr., a widely respected professional charter and tournament captain here in Cabo. Jaime began fishing professionally at the young age of 16. He began his full-time fishing career at 18. He started out working for many professional captains and operating many different fishing vessels moored in Cabo. With savings from working and prize money from winning tournaments, in 2010, he acquired his first boat the Jessica, a 23ft custom Diaz center console boat. This allowed him to start his own chartering business and Captain his own boat.

For over 16 years now Jaime has successfully guided many clients and friends on fishing trips of a lifetime. He has also lead many teams to the famous Cabo weigh scales with impressive winning fish caught in the Bisbee Tournaments, Los Cabos Billfish Tournaments, and local tuna tournaments.

Jaime now operates his exclusive fleet of boats including a brand new 2021 Sea Hunter 31 Tournament center console with state of the art electronics, Avet and Shimano and custom rods, 4 tuna tubes, 3 bait tanks, built-in coolers, built in tackle storage, fish storage, stereo system, LED lighting, bathroom, and all the fishing equipment needed for any fishing excursion. There is no boat like this one available for chartering in Cabo.

Jaime has the experience and knowledge to fish the waters surrounding Cabo San Lucas and the Baja both inshore and offshore. He has experienced mates that fish with him and helps clients. He maintains a long list of clients who return to fish with him year after year to fish for various species of fish or compete in various tournaments.
